During the 12 days spent in the land of the Thracian singer Orpheus you
will be introduced to one of the best Operas in Europe - the Opera of Plovdiv, which for the 12th time performs the most popular Verdi Operas in the last evenings of June. Therefore, "...instead of going to Arena di Verona, next time you can divert your steps to the beautiful open-air stage of the Roman
Amphitheater in Plovdiv, Bulgaria" (from the newspaper "BerlinskeTigdende").
This tour is unique with its variety - the opera evenings alternate with full of experiences cultural and nature travels.

Day 1: Sofia to Plovdiv (150 km/93 miles):
Arrival at Sofia airport. Transfer to Plovdiv. Overnight at Trimontium
hotel (3 stars).

Day 2: Sightseeing of Plovdiv (Old Town - some old houses and churches
and the Roman Amphitheater). First opera evening. Trimontium hotel (3stars).

Day 3: Plovdiv to Bachkovo and back (70 km/43 miles):
Travel to Bachkovo-Monastery, sightseeing of the monastery and the
Assenova Stronghold. Overnight at Trimontium hotel.

Day 4: Plovdiv to Kazanluk and back (220 km/137 miles):
Travel to Kazanluk town. Sightseeing of the Thracian Tomb. Overnight at Trimontium hotel.

Day 5: Plovdiv to Klisoura (100 km/62 miles):
Travel to the town of Hisar and sightseeing of the Roman State Wall.
Overnight at the complex of the Car Union in the town of Klisoura (2stars).

Day 6: Klisoura to Plovdiv (150 km/93 miles):
Travel to Koprivshtitsa town (architectural museum) and sightseeing of
the town. Return to Plovdiv. Third opera evening. Overnight at Trimontium hotel.

Day 7:Plovdiv to Sofia (150 km/93 miles):
Travel to Sofia. Sightseeing of the National Museum and the old Church"St.Georgi" (4th century). Overnight at Sofia hotel (3 stars).

Day 8: Sofia to Plovdiv (170 km/105 miles):
Sightseeing of the Alexander-Nevski-Cathedral and the Boyana-Church
(11th cent.). Return to Plovdiv. Fourth opera evening. Overnight at Trimontium hotel.

Day 9: Plovdiv to Veliko Turnovo (240 km/149 miles):
Travel to Veliko Turnovo (sightseeing on the way of the Russian Church
in Shipka village, the National Monument on the Shipka Pass and the Icon
Museum in Tryavna town). Overnight at Yantra hotel (3 stars) in VelikoTurnovo.

Day 10: Veliko Turnovo to Plovdiv (220 km/137 miles):
Sightseeing of the medieval Bulgarian Capital Veliko Turnovo (Tsarevets
hill with the stronghold, some old churches). Return to Plovdiv. Fifth opera evening.
 Overnight at Trimontium hotel.

Day 11: Plovdiv to Shiroka Luka and back (220 km/137 miles):
Travel through Rhodope-Mountains - visit to Shiroka Luka village, Pamporovo winter resort and optional visit to the Snezhanka peak (1926 m/6315 ft). Return to Plovdiv. Overnight at Trimontium hotel.

Day 12: Free time in Plovdiv. Gala opera performance. Overnight at Trimontium hotel.

Day 13: Plovdiv to Sandanski (350 km/217 miles):
Travel through Rhodope Mountains to Sandanski town. Overnight at hotel Sandanski (4 stars).

Day 14: Sandanski to Sofia (270 km/168 miles):seeing of Melnik (the smallest Bulgarian town), the Sight Rozhen-Monastery and the Rila-Monastery (the biggest in Bulgaria).Overnight at Sofia hotel in Sofia.

Day 15: Flight home.
